Deaf Model Nyle DiMarco Stuns On “Dancing With The Stars” Debut.

Nyle DiMarco, who is deaf, didn’t let that stop him from dazzling the judges on “Dancing With the Stars” with his phenomenal dance moves. The former “America’s Next Top Model,” proved he’s not just a pretty face when he and partner Peta Murgatroyd danced the Cha Cha to “Cake by the Ocean” by DNCE as part of season 22 of the popular dance show. The 26-year-old made it seem effortless when he and his partner tied competitors Wanya Morris and Ginger Zee for first place with a 23/30. Through an interpreter, DiMarco confirmed that unlike some deaf people, he doesn’t hear any vibrations and simply follows his dance partner with his eyes. “Growing up I didn’t dance at all, and I wasn’t sure if I could. I didn’t want to make a fool of myself as a deaf person,” he told “US Weekly“. “If I made a fool out of myself, I think the world would have that negative perception that a deaf person can’t dance, and it’s important for me to do so well so that I can preach to the world that deaf people can do anything.” Watch Nyle and Peta’s breathtaking performance below!
