Viewers furious with Pat Sajak after ‘Wheel of Fortune’ contestant calls out wrong answer

Are you a rule follower or a rule breaker?

If you’re a rule breaker game shows like Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy! are not for you. Mispronounce a word or add an extra letter to the answer and it’s wrong.

Well, except for last night when viewers caught one of the contestants adding an extra letter to their answer on Wheel of Fortune and walk away with the win.

Nadine Cedro from Toms River, New Jersey spun the wheel and set herself up to solve the puzzle with the clue “butter.”

As he’s done many times before, host Pat Sajak reminded Cedro to “say everything, don’t add anything” before solving the puzzle.

“Fly, Fingers, Bean…”

She only had one word left to solve, nut.

However, Cedro said, nuts.

It was a slight slip of the tongue that ordinarily would have cost her the puzzle, but Sajak didn’t catch it.

But sharp-eared viewers heard the mistake and took to social media to call it out.

“We re-round it 3 times because our whole family heard nutS. She shouldn’t have won the round,” one viewer wrote.

The majority agreed, Cedro shouldn’t have won the round. After all, she said “nuts” and the correct response was “nut.”

What do you think? Is it okay to let it slide or should she have lost the round?
