Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour has already generated $1 billion in sales, and it’s possible by the end of the tour she will have the highest grossing tour of all time.
What’s a megastar like her to do with all that money? Share the wealth, of course!
It’s been reported that the 33-year-old singer-songwriter gifted six-figure bonuses to the 50 truckers responsible for hauling her tour’s equipment around the country for the past several months.
According to TMZ, each of the drivers were given a $100,000 “end of the tour” bonus before her show in Santa Clara, California.
Sources also reported the truck drivers weren’t the only ones to receive bonus checks. The Eras Tour band members, caterers, dancers, lighting and sound technicians, and other workers also received “very generous” bonuses.
The total of those bonus checks is said to be over $55 million, according to People.
After an impressive North American tour that began in Glendale, Arizona in March, Swift will head to South America before traveling to Europe, Asia, and Australia in February 2024.
