Sofia Vergara must be sipping from the fountain of youth.
The gorgeous Columbian-American, who first captured the hearts of fans in the mid 1990s, doesn’t appear to have aged and is just as stunning today as she was three decades ago.
And fans are taking notice.
Sofia Vergara started her career in Columbia in the mid 1990s, co-hosting two Spanish-language TV shows.
She was introduced to American audiences in her starring role in the 2003 film, Chasing Papi, and over the next few years, she had several roles in films and TV.
But it was in 2009 when the natural blonde-haired beauty became a superstar when she was introduced to the masses in her starring role in the popular sitcom, Modern Family.
Contributing to the success of the comedy series, Vergara–who starred in all 11 seasons until its finale in 2020–played Gloria Pritchett, the much younger wife to the show’s patriarch, Jay Pritchett (Ed O’Neill). Lending her distinctive and feisty Latina persona to a large family of modern-day Americans, the actor added a whole new level of humor, quickly becoming a fan favorite of the show.
Vergara’s comedic prowess can also be seen in films like New Year’s Eve, with an ensemble cast, and Hot Pursuit with Reese Witherspoon.
In July, the woman, who studied dentistry in college, headlined news when she and Joe Manganiello–the star of True Blood and Magic Mike–announced they were dissolving their marriage of seven years. Fans were heartbroken to hear that one of Hollywood’s hottest couples were splitting.
On July 17, the actor posted a photo of her in a modest blue animal print, one-piece bathing suit and fans took the opportunity to express their shock. “Sofia please tell me it’s not true and you and Joe are still together. I’m crying over here!!!” Another follower writes, “Sad to hear the news or your divorce. I loved you guys.”
Shortly before the separation was announced, the America’s Got Talent judge celebrated her 51st birthday, and in April, she posted a throwback photo where she’s sitting with her then young son, Manolo Gonzalez Vergara, whom she welcomed when she was only 18. Manolo, who had a minor role in Hot Pursuit, is very close to his mom and following the path she paved into Hollywood.
Though the photo of the two might be from almost 30 years ago, without her caption, “TBT the 90s” it would be impossible to tell the image was pulled from her earlier days.
“This woman is so gorgeous like damn she will be 90 and Will most likely be the sexiest 90 year old woman in history,” said one fan, while another writes, “Mam it’s illegal to look that good.”
Recently, a TikTok video showing the star at various stages of her life, is puzzling fans over how her face is just as it was in the mid 1990s.
The only thing that’s changed is her hair color.
The clip, that has 8.4 million views, fast forwards from age 23 in 1995, and goes through Vergara’s old commercials, interviews and red-carpet appearances over the years.
One fan jokes that she’s the undead: “Is she a vampire?” Another writes, “She was gorgeous when she was younger still is. Can’t believe she’s in her 50s she looks better and better every year!!”
Meanwhile, another netizen wonders if her youth is just Hollywood magic or if she’s had surgery: “Maybe it was her makeup, or she has work done but she looks hotter in modern family [than] she does in her 20s.”
When Vergara was asked if she’d consider getting some work done, she replied: “Yeah, I would definitely do something. Not something crazy but little things here or there.”
She continued, “I don’t really think that plastic surgery can make you look young. It can make you look prettier, but if you go with the mentality of being young, I think that’s where accidents can happen.”
Sofia Vergara is a stunning woman, and she is also an incredible actor! Though we’re sad that Modern Family ended, we look forward to seeing her in future comedic roles.
