Aldi offers affordable Thanksgiving dinner bundle for 10 people – here’s what’s included

If the current prices of groceries have you worried about being able to afford a Thanksgiving dinner, Aldi wants to ensure that everyone is able to enjoy some turkey and pumpkin pie this Thanksgiving.

On Wednesday, the discount supermarket chain announced plans to offer a 10-person “inflation-busting holiday meal” for less than $50.

After a year that saw multiple retailers and fast food restaurants lower prices to draw customers back in, Aldi made the decision to drop its prices for all the ingredients needed for a Thanksgiving dinner. The value leader claims its customers will pay the lowest prices since 2019 for its holiday bundle.

“Every day at ALDI, we are focused on finding ways to deliver the lowest possible prices for our customers – and this Thanksgiving is no different,” Jason Hart, CEO, ALDI, said in a press release. “With 25% of U.S households now shopping ALDI, we know grocery prices are still top of mind for customers. We worked hard this Thanksgiving to deliver the best value and quality products so everyone can enjoy a traditional meal with family and friends without having to scale back.”

The low-cost supermarket’s shopping list includes: a 16-pound Butterball turkey with accompanying spices, gravy, rolls, macaroni and cheese, stuffing, plus the ingredients for cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, and pumpkin pie.

Aldi’s Thanksgiving meal comes in $47 or $4.70 per person, $2 less than the bundle its rival Walmart offers.

The prices are valid October 16 to November 27.
