Then Barron leaned down and appeared to have whispered something in the 82-year-old’s ear, setting the online community ablaze with speculation.
In the clip, Biden, who initially had a smile on his face, quickly shifted to a serious and somber expression, leaving viewers desperate to know exactly what went down.
Cameras also captured Barron walking away, briefly pausing to look back, nodding with immense confidence before returning to his family.
Obsessed with the footage, fans were begging to know what Barron – the only child Trump shares with wife Melania – said to the departing president.

A professional lip reader, who analyzed the viral clip circulating on TikTok and Twitter, finally spilled the beans on what Barron reportedly whispered to Biden.
Forensic lip reader Jeremy Freeman revealed that – before the handshake – the charming first son and the former president were exchanging some niceties.
Speaking with The Mirror, Freeman said that Barron told Biden “G’day to you sir,” and then greeted Harris with “Ma’am, good day.”
The online community wasn’t surprised the teenager approached Biden with class: “He would never say anything disrespectful!!” writes one. “He wouldn’t [be rude] to him. He [has] too much class,” offers a second, while a third writes, “That young man is epic!”
Next, breaking down what was said in the alleged whisper that created so much noise on the internet, the same lip reader told LADbible that he believes Biden first told Barron: “It’s good to see you man.” And the youngest of the Trumps responded: “Exactly” – a bizarre reply that could explain Biden’s unexpected change in expression.
‘Misleading’
But a message on X that clarifies what really happened, putting the hype to rest.
The post – offered by X’s Community Notes that adds context to potentially misleading posts – says the clips claim to show two different interactions however, it was one exchange viewed from two separate angles. In addition, it suggests the viral video was cropped to make it appear that Barron was speaking with Biden, when in fact he was greeting Harris.
“Misleading: this video was cropped to make it appear as though Barron said something to Biden,” writes the community-based moderation feature, formerly called Birdwatch. “In fact, he was greeting Kamala Harris who was standing next to him” – a moment that’s apparent in the unedited clip.
‘Barron for president’
Despite what was said, no one can dispute Barron’s respectful gestures with Biden were like a symbolic passing of the torch, proving that he’s one to watch.
“This kid is going to be making big moves in his future,” shares one netizen on TikTok, while a second writes, “Kid is so awesome, he looks like a leader already!”
Another adds, “This kid [gangster] like [his] dad. Barron for president!”
