People’s morning routines vary. While some might forgo television, others start their mornings with their favorite morning show! Many people eagerly waited for Hoda Kotd to grace their screens.
Now it seems that Hoda Kotb is bidding her viewers farewell. But it seems the person who will be replacing her is already a hot topic.

Hoda Kotb will soon depart as Today co-host. Her co-host, Jenna Bush Hager, will appear with someone else at her side.
Kotb says she is excited about the segment that is now being called Jenna & Friends. The idea is to have a new celebrity co-host every week till a permanent replacement for Kotb is found.
Kotb has retired from the show to spend more time with her family, her daughters Haley Joy and Hope Catherine. She shared how she will miss Jenna Bush Hager and appreciated her talent, saying, “What this has shown me is that Jenna is a mega talent,” Kotb explains. “It was always clear to me, but it’s even clearer because now I’m watching her have blind dates every week with new co-hosts, and the common thread is how awesome she is. She’s incredible. So whoever she chooses is going to be great with her.”
This will not be Kotb’s only replacement, in November Craig Melvin was named her replacement for Hoda’s 7 to 8 A.M. slot for Today alongside Savannah Guthrie. About that appointment, Kotb said, “Savannah and Craig — come on,” Kotb says with excitement. “It’s like two peas in a pod, man. That was so meant to be.”
While Hoda Kotb leaves Today, she will miss her colleagues and remain in touch with them. She said, “I’ll talk to them, I’ll call them. They’re like, ‘What can we do? When do you need me?’ So they are here for my next great adventure. It’s just fun.”
While she may be leaving, she is not saying goodbye to Today just yet. The former co-host has a stack of friendship bracelets from her last day at work. She shared, “All these bracelets that I got are from people who gave me them on the last day. This lady gave me one that says ‘January 10, 2025’ — she gave me the date. This one says ‘Today show’. This one says, ‘Hoda. Be kind,’” she shares each individual one. “Anyone who gave me one on the last day I’ve been wearing it. I can’t take them off yet,” the former co-host shared.
For her career, her next move is an upcoming wellness launch. She is excited for her future, saying, “I’m feeling fresh,” she says. “I’m feeling sunny.”
As for who will be replacing her, she said, “I’ve been talking with Jenna about it. I keep saying, ‘Who’s going to be our friend forever?’”
Hoda Kotb herself is unsure who will replace her. “I’m dying to find out who it’s going to be,” the 60-year-old Kotb told People. But clearly, she is just as excited as everyone else to find out!
