Chilling last words of ‘monster’ who killed 13-month-old daughter in 30-hour ‘exorcism’

A Texas man who murdered his girlfriend’s 13-month-old daughter in an atrocity described by prosecutors as an “exorcism” has now been executed.

According to the Daily Mail, Blaine Milam, 35, received the lethal injection last Thursday inside the Texas state penitentiary in Huntsville.

Milam had been on death row since 2008, after he was convicted of killing Amora Rose Carson, the 13-month-old daughter of Milam’s then-girlfriend. Prosecutors allege that little Amora was subjected to abuse before her death in Milam’s trailer home.

At the time, Milam and Amora’s mother, Jesseca Carson, claimed that he had been performing an “exorcism” on the child in an attempt to expel a demon from her body.

Horrifying details emerged in later court documents, including how the 13-month-old was found with human bite marks and signs of both physical and sexual abuse.

Milam tried to blame Jesseca for the murder, initially stating it was she who said her daughter was possessed by a demon. She was tried separately to Milam, ultimately receiving life in prison without the possibility of parole for her role in Amora’s death.

A forensic pathologist who performed the autopsy on the toddler found that she had multiple skull fractures along with broken arms, legs, ribs. The pathologist testified at trial that he could not point to a definite cause of death as the girl had so many potentially fatal injuries.

After his conviction, Milam appealed his death penalty on the grounds that he was suffering from an intellectual disability. He received stays of execution both in 2019 and 2021 in order to have his appeals heard, but in the end his legal avenues ran dry.

Ultimately, Milam, 35, was ruled mentally fit for execution. Last Tuesday, October the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles unanimously declined to grant Milam clemency.

In his final statement, Milam thanked supporters and the prison chaplaincy for extending its faith-based programs to death row inmates.

“If any of you would like to see me again, I implore all of you no matter who you are to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and we will meet again,” he said after being strapped into the death chamber gurney.

“I love you all. Bring me home, Jesus.”

As per the Mail, a lethal dose of sedative pentobarbital was then administered. At 6:19pm, local time, he grunted and gasped once, then he began snoring quietly.

Two minutes later, all sounds and movements had stopped. Milam was officially pronounced dead minutes later.

The child murderer was the fifth person put to death in Texas in 2025. At the time of writing, Florida has conducted the most executions this year (12) with two more scheduled to take place by mid-October.
