Virginia Giuffre’s family speak out after Ghislaine Maxwell’s emails

A newly released email is believed to have been sent by Ghislaine Maxwell about the infamous photo of the then-young woman and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, which has now been addressed by Virginia Giuffre’s family.

Virginia Giuffre took her own life last year and had made a series of serious allegations against the former Duke of York, which dated back to as early as 2001 when she first met the member of the Royal Family.

She claimed before her death that she had been sexually abused by Andrew on three occasions when she was in her teens, after she was trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein’s accomplices, which included Ghislaine Maxwell. The former Duke of York has consistently denied all the allegations.

There is an infamous picture of 17-year-old Giuffre with Andrew at what’s believed to have been Maxwell’s London home; however, both parties, apart from Giuffre in the picture, have previously suggested that the image is not real.

Now, in the 3,000,000 pages of documents released last week regarding Epstein, an email from ‘G Maxwell’ addressed the highly contested picture and appeared to have confirmed that it had been taken.

The email read, “In 2001 I was in London when [redacted] met a number of friends of mine including Prince Andrew. A photograph was taken as I imagine she wanted to show it to friends and family.”

“Prince Andrew came to my house to visit me – [redacted] was in the house and they did meet,” Maxwell continued in the email.

Now, late Giuffre’s family has spoken out after the release of this email and has said that late Giuffre has finally been ‘vindicated.’

Sky Roberts, Giuffre’s brother, said, “It truly does vindicate Virginia. It not only shows that she was not lying this entire time, even though many people across multiple countries indicated that she was, it does vindicate her.”

“Not only did Ghislaine say that the photo was real but she also mentioned that it was in the same house that Virginia had mentioned. It’s a moment where we’re really proud of our sister.” He continued, “but we also want to use this as a moment to remind people to believe survivors.”

While Maxwell had confirmed the meeting had taken place, she had denied any allegations of abuse saying they had been fabricated for purporse of ‘financial gain’.

“The salacious claims she makes are untrue and made purely for financial gain,” Maxwell wrote in her email.

“The relentless media harassment to which I, Alan Dershowitz and Prince Andrew have been subjected to over the last week has become intolerable and breaches any justifiable sense of natural justice,” she said.

In 2021, Giuffre had filed a civil lawsuit against former Prince, Andrew, and in 2022 they had reached an undisclosed out-of-court settlement that did not make any admissions of liability.
