Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, was arrested some weeks ago. Now, an insider shares an upsetting claim about the former prince.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, was stripped of all his royal titles by his brother, King Charles, as his connections to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and new pictures from the Epstein Files were laid bare.
The disgraced former prince had to leave his home at the Royal Lodge and was set to move into a new home, Wood Farm, at Sandringham. However, two weeks ago, Andrew was arrested.
Several police cars arrived at his home and brought him in for questioning. He was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
Later that day, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was released and was free to resume his daily life. However, he is still under investigation and could be brought in for more questioning.
Insider claims Andrew feels he’s been treated ‘unfairly’
Andrew became the first member of the Royal Family arrested in nearly 400 years.
The royals have been shaken to their core over the latest allegations against Andrew. King Charles said he will fully cooperate with the police in the matter, while Prince William and his wife, and future queen, Kate Middleton, have stayed quiet.
Meanwhile, Andrew has reportedly been banned from his favorite hobby, horseback riding, as it would be a “bad look.”
Prince Andrew has long claimed his innocence in the case of his links to Jeffrey Epstein, although the Epstein files and previous police investigations could prove otherwise.
Now, an insider shares a shocking claim about the disgraced prince, saying he feels it’s unfair how he is being treated and how the public sees him.
Royal expert Andrew Lownie claims the former Duke of Your still “thinks he’s anointed – that it’s deeply unfair people have turned on him.”
“He [Andrew] has been pampered all the way through his life, in this bubble. Status is everything to him — it’s his only sense of identity. They thought they’d be able to operate like this under the radar. They’re clearly up to their necks in exploiting their royal status,” Lownie told The Mirror.
“Andrew still can’t see what the problem is”
In another interview with People Magazine, Lownie claims Andrew is sad that his children, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, have become trapped in the middle, and how it’s affected their family.
“They’re (Beatrice and Eugenie) caught between a rock and a hard place over loyalty to their parents and their future.”
At the time of the arrest, Lownie told The Guardian, “Andrew still can’t see what the problem is. He thinks he’s been hard done by. He’s obsessed with other details — whether he can take his horses up to Norfolk, who’s going to get the dogs, and where he’s going to park his car.”
