Donald Trump had barely finished welcoming a Las Vegas family onto the stage when one of its youngest members threatened to steal the show.
The president introduced Sandra, a Las Vegas casino waitress, and her husband Brad, an officer with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, while highlighting his administration’s Trump Accounts and “no tax on tips” policy.
“It’s a beautiful family,” Trump said as they joined him onstage, telling the audience that the couple had benefited from the tax changes and were investing in Trump Accounts for both of their young children.
‘Don’t want him to be Biden’
As Sandra started addressing the audience, however, her toddler wandered away and made his way toward the edge of the stage.
The 80-year-old president quickly left the podium and reached out to stop the child before delivering a familiar jab at former President Joe Biden, 83.
“I don’t want him to be Biden and fall off the stage,” Trump quipped, referring to 2023 when Biden stumbled on stage after tripping over a sandbag at the U.S. Air Force Academy graduation ceremony.
With the toddler safely back beside his parents, the event soon delivered another memorable moment.
‘Thank you for my Trump Account’
Once the laughter died down, Sandra resumed speaking about her family’s experience, explaining that working for tips helps support their household and that her children are her motivation every day.
Before leaving the stage, she turned to her son and told Trump: “He did want to say a little something to you, Mr. President.”
After a few quiet babbles into the microphone, Sandra gently encouraged her toddler.
“Thank you for my Trump Account,” the child said.
The little boy repeated the phrase, prompting loud applause from the audience.
“Good job,” replied Trump, a father of five and grandfather to 11 grandchildren.
Frequent swipes at Biden
It wasn’t the first time Trump has made a joke about Biden while spending time with children.
During the 2026 White House Easter Egg Roll, the president sat with a group of youngsters as they proudly showed him their drawings.
After offering to sign their artwork, Trump joked the children might one day profit from the autographs.
“I could sign autographs for you guys. And then tonight, you could sell them for $25,000 on eBay,” the president told the kids.
Holding up one child’s picture, he joked that he would sign it and “that way I’ll say I drew it.”
And then, according to People, started rambling about Biden,
“You know Biden, he’d use the autopen,” Trump claimed. “He’d have an autopen follow him…He didn’t sign, he was incapable of signing his name, so they’d follow him around with a big machine.”
The president added, “An autopen and he’d have the autopen sign for him,” the president replied.
