Kate Middleton’s reaction to Harry and Meghan’s UK return has everyone asking the same question

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s rumored UK return won’t come problem-free. Their relationship with the Royal Family, especially Prince William and Kate Middleton, is at a low point. Now, Kate Middleton’s first reaction to the Sussexes’ move to the UK has been revealed.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s possible return to the UK has been met with mixed emotions.

While King Charles is said to be delighted that his son is returning, not least because he gets to spend more time with his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, others within the Royal Family aren’t as happy, specifically Prince William.

Harry and William ended it on a very bad note, with Harry’s revelations in Spare about royal life making William rage. Their relationship went from bad to worse, and they have reportedly not been speaking for several years.

As reports of Harry and Meghan’s return became known, William was said to be furious. Moreover, Mirror sources said the Royal Family was “blindsided” by the news. Moreover, one royal expert stated that it will be a tricky situation for Prince William and Kate Middleton to handle.

“All I can think of is: here we go again,” royal expert and author Christoper Andersen told US Magazine. “For starters, I can only imagine that William and Kate are tearing their hair out. They have so much on their plate as it is trying to shore up the monarchy and propel it into the future; they don’t really need to cope with having Harry and Megan on their proverbial doorstep.”

Kate Middleton’s reaction to Harry and Meghan’s UK return

“By returning to the UK, the Sussexes will inevitably suck up all the oxygen in the room,” the expert added. “They will generate countless tabloid stories and take the focus away from other members of the Royal family, which is a major no-no. King Charles and Queen Camilla, in particular, don’t like to be upstaged, and the same goes for William.”

Kate Middleton has been caught in the middle of the “battle of the brothers.” Moreover, her relationship with Meghan Markle has been rocky, and the Duchess’s return might not sit well with the future queen either.

While Meghan decided to call Kate and express her support when the Princess of Wales received her cancer diagnosis, the two were not the best of friends while Meghan was still a part of the Royal Family.

So what does she think of a possible return of Harry and Meghan to the UK? Well, according to a palace source, speaking with journalist Rob Shuter, she surprisingly doesn’t seem to care too much.

In fact, Kate reportedly sees it as a way for Harry and William to reunite.

“Kate is the voice of reason,” the source told Rob Shuter. “She knows William and Harry may never be brothers in the way they once were. But they can be civil, they can cooperate, and they can stop feeding the story that the royal family is permanently divided. This isn’t about forgiveness. It’s about strategy. Kate is thinking about the institution and the future, when William is King and she is Queen.”

They added, “Kate is a chess player. She doesn’t need Harry to love William. She needs him to stop fighting him.”

“William and Kate play the long game”

The insider continued, saying that William is ‘confident’ that Harry and Meghan are able to “to create their own problems” and therefore won’t interfere.

“Every time there’s chaos around them, William and Kate look calmer, stronger and more dependable;” they said. “William and Kate play the long game. They’re not going to fight them, brief against them or get dragged into another Sussex circus. Their attitude is simple: sit back, wait and see what actually happens.”
