‘Charlie’s Angels’ stars Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith have rare meeting – first time in 14 years

Charlie’s Angels‘ star Jaclyn Smith delighted fans with an Instagram post showcasing her reunion with co-star Kate Jackson, who made her first public appearance in almost 14 years.

The heartwarming video montage captured moments from the wedding of Smith’s son, Gaston Richmond, to Bonnie Lane, where Jackson was spotted alongside Smith, Richmond, and Smith’s husband, Brad Allen, posing for photographs at the reception.

Jackson looked effortlessly chic in flattering white trousers paired with a beige blazer and a pale blue shirt, sporting brown, shoulder-length hair and sunglasses. Meanwhile, the mother of the groom exuded elegance in a beautiful feathery green gown and a hairstyle reminiscent of the ’70s.

Jackson has largely stayed out of the public eye for over a decade. One of her last public appearances was at Farrah Fawcett’s funeral in Los Angeles in 2009. Her acting credits also tapered off, with her last appearance being on an episode of Criminal Minds in 2007 and a stint on Bravo’s Shear Genius in August 2008, which was hosted by Jaclyn Smith.

The ‘Charlie’s Angels‘ series, which aired from 1976 to 1981 on ABC, featured Smith and Jackson alongside Farrah Fawcett, forming a trio of private detectives working for an agency owned by the mysterious Charlie, voiced by John Forsythe but never seen.

Fawcett left the show in 1977 and was replaced by Cheryl Ladd, before Jackson departed two years later and was succeeded by Shelley Hack and then Tanya Roberts. The decision to leave the show was rooted in Jackson’s desire for a normal life away from Hollywood’s long hours, politics, backstabbing, and gossip.

“My life was all geared to work, even though those people around the country know me and like me, they aren’t in my living room at the end of the day when I’m lonely and hassled,” Jackson told Closer Weekly in 2022.

She opted for a quieter life and adopted a son, Charles, in 1995 before relocating to a 125-acre farm in Keswick, Virginia. Despite facing the challenges of three failed marriages and surviving breast cancer twice, Jackson focused on living a life that made her happy.

Charlie’s Angels‘ became a media franchise with well-known film adaptations starring Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu, and Cameron Diaz in 2000 and 2003.

A TV reboot featuring Minka Kelly, Annie Ilonzeh, and Rachael Taylor premiered in 2011 but was eventually canceled after seven episodes.

In 2019, a new generation of angels, portrayed by Kristen Stewart, Ella Balinska, and Naomi Scott, graced the big screen in a film adaptation.

Though, Smith, Jackson, and Fawcett will always remain the original Angels in my heart!
