Jamie Foxx’s co-stars address actor’s medical emergency during red carpet for his new film

Jamie Foxx’s co-stars are some of the latest people to offer the actor well-wishes.

His colleagues walked the red carpet Wednesday for the premiere of They Cloned Tyrone and expressed their sadness over not being able to share the moment with Foxx.

“I wanted him to show up here but you know, I know he’s dealing with what he’s dealing with, and we just wish him all the best,” John Boyega told ET.

Foxx was admitted to the hospital in April for an unknown “medical complication.”

Rumors quickly began to swirl about his condition and what sent him to the hospital, but on May 12 his daughter Corinne Foxx revealed her father had been out of the hospital “for weeks” and had recently played pickleball.

The most recent update on the 55-year-old actor has him at a physical rehab center in Chicago, though it is still unclear what medical condition prompted him to go to the hospital in Atlanta in April.

Since his hospitalization, friends, fans, and colleagues have sent their well-wishes to the star.

“I’ve been calling, I’m just gonna keep on calling. He better pick up,” Boyega said. “Come on Jamie!”

“I wish Jamie all the recovery and healing. He’s just so amazing,” Teyonah Parris, Foxx’s co-star added. “It was just such an honor to work with him. He’s so generous as an actor and as a human, along with John. I got lucky to be able to work with such dope men on this project, and dope men of color, that it was just so much fun.”

I still pray for Jamie Foxx every day. I don’t know what’s wrong, but I hope he’s able to fully recover.
