And in a recent interview, he revealed the hilarious way one of his superhero co-stars cheered him up while he was in the hospital.

Jeremy Renner is best known to many fans for playing superhero Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. One of his many co-stars is Paul Rudd, who plays Ant Man.

In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Renner said that Rudd paid him a visit at the hospital a few times, which he said always made his day: “He’s one of the funniest guys around,” Renner said.

He also revealed that Paul Rudd sent him a video message, in the style of a Cameo video, a service in which people can hire celebrities to send them personalized videos. “He made a fake one, like I paid him money for a Cameo,” Renner explained.

Renner then played the video, which showed his friend and co-star giving him some hilariously honest advice:

“Hey Jerry, I hear you’re a little banged up. Got in a fight with a snowblower apparently? Anyway, I just wanted to send this video. It’s really from the heart and I hope you’re feeling better. Sounds like you are. Apparently, you’re a pretty tough guy.”

“Maybe I’ll get to meet you one day, and wouldn’t that be something? In the meantime, take care and take it easy for a while. And next time, maybe just let the snow melt! Feel better, Jerry!”

Sometimes laughter is the best medicine, and it can feel good to make light of even the most serious accidents. It sounds like Paul Rudd’s joke really lifted Renner’s spirits while he was recovering.

Jeremy Renner – snow plow accident

On January 1, the 52-year-old actor was involved in an accident in which he was run over by a 14,330-pound snowcat at his home in Washoe County, Nevada.

According to reports, Renner was removing snow from his nephew’s driveway. When the vehicle began to slide down the street towards his nephew, Renner intervened to save him but was dragged under the track.

Renner suffered blunt chest trauma, and later revealed he broke over 30 bones in his body. After being airlifted to the hospital, Renner was said to be in critical but stable condition and was in the intensive care unit.

Renner left the hospital on January 17. While friends initially worried that Renner would never be able to walk again, he shared an inspiring update recently, revealing that he has taken his first steps since the accident via an anti-gravity treadmill. In his Jimmy Kimmel appearance, he walked on stage with the support of a cane.

In recent weeks, Renner has been taking his first steps back into public life since the accident. His new Disney+ show Rennervations premieres this month, and Renner will attend the premiere in Los Angeles today.

He also sat down for a special interview with ABC News correspondent Diane Sawyer, opening up about the accident and his recovery. “I chose to survive, you’re not gonna kill me, no way,” Renner said in the interview.

“I’ve lost a lot of flesh and bone in this experience, but I’ve been refilled and refueled with love and titanium,” Renner says, calling himself a “lucky man.”

Jeremy Renner suffered a very serious injury, but we’re glad to see he’s doing well and had the support of so many friends who were there to lift his spirits! Cheers to Paul Rudd for being as funny as ever.
