Lionel Richie is the latest celebrity to speak out against plastic surgery.
The 73-year-old singer recently spoke with the Daily Mail about why he has no intentions of altering his look by way of cosmetic surgery.
“[Plastic surgery] locks you in for that year [while you recover], and after that, you can’t go naturally, you’re staying right there… You try and go back to reset, and you can’t,” Richie said.
“[And] that sh*t goes wrong!”
Richie also shared another very important reason he wouldn’t be giving up his seemingly ageless appearance.
“God might not recognize me, so I want to make sure he knows me.”
When it comes to anti-aging, Richie approaches the subject in a much more natural way.
“Water, sleep and sweat, not too much red meat,” he said. “I know it’s real boring. [Sex] will work also and it’s good for your heart.”
Although some questioned his looks at the coronation concert, Richie insists he’s aging naturally because it’s the only guaranteed way you won’t mess things up.
After years of celebrities undergoing plastic surgery and procedures to maintain a more youthful look, it’s so nice to hear about celebrities saying no to the knife.
