Luke Bryan cancels yet another show amid health issues – doctors order singer to take a break “to heal”

Luke Bryan had to cancel another show over the weekend due to ongoing health concerns.

The 47-year-old artist announced the cancellation of the Brandon, Mississippi show on Sunday morning, just hours before he was set to perform at the “Country on Tour” concert.

Taking to Twitter, Bryan explained to his followers that he was under strict orders from his doctor not to perform.

“Dear Brandon, MS I am regretfully going to have to cancel my show there tonight. Under doctor advisement after taking 6 days off to heal I attempted to sing at both shows Thursday and Saturday and it was a struggle,” Bryan wrote.

“Every show I sing I’m setting my voice back. I will continue to do everything I can to get better. Please know how much you mean to me and how heartbreaking this is to do,” he concluded.

This cancelation is just one of several recent withdrawals from a series of shows in Washington, Utah, and Idaho, with the ‘Country Girl (Shake It For Me)‘ singer citing a “head cold” as the reason for his absence.

Earlier this month, Bryan had been expected to headline the Watershed Festival in George, Washington, but had to be replaced by Lainey Wilson.

Addressing his fans on Instagram, Bryan expressed his frustration with the situation, writing (via Fox News): “This is such a frustrating weekend. ‘Shedders, I am sorry to let you down but I am not back singing – can hardly even talk still.”

He added: “This festival is one of the most beautiful places we perform and one of the most fun crowds always. I know my friends on the show will bring a great time for you! Show them all what you got.”

Bryan also shared his regret with his Boise fans after he was forced to cancel a show scheduled for August 5th at Ford Center. “Under the advisement of doctors I need another day to rest my voice and get better… There is nothing that I love more than to play live shows and I am so disappointed to not be able to do this for you,” he said.

Bryan currently has eight shows planned for the remainder of August, starting with a concert on August 17th in Cincinnati. Only time will tell whether the popular musician will recover in time to play them.

Sending out thoughts and prayers to Luke Bryan at this time… Get well soon, Luke!
