Country singer Luke Bryan is perhaps at the peak of his career right now. The artist has been fully booked throughout the year with his American Idol judging position, followed by various performances and concerts lined up.

Luke Bryan has been enjoying a full roster lately, but it seems like the 46-year-old singer has some regrets.
“I’m not really balancing it that well this year,” the singer admitted in an interview. The singer said he promised his wife something sweet. He shared how he told her, “I’m like, ‘Baby, this is a rough year, let’s just get through it and then we’ll find a boat and go to the Caribbean or something.'”
Bryan was referring to his wife of 16 years, Caroline Boyer, who also happens to be his college sweetheart. When the interviewer told Bryan that he always says that those are his plans, Bryan added while laughing, That’s what she says!”
Bryan just recently wrapped up season 21 of American Idol as a judge. He then served as one of the headliners for CMA Fest. Now the singer is about to go on his Country On Tour trek starting June 15, which is followed by his Las Vegas residency at the new Resorts World Theatre starting August 30.
“I love to get out there and work,” Bryan said. While the singer plans on being “real active” next year as well, he also is “gonna slow down a few things.”
In the few days he had off recently, the singer went “golfing and fishing with the boys.” Bryan and Carolina share two sons, Thomas “Bo” Boyer Bryan and Tatum “Tate” Christopher Bryan.
The father of two gushed about his boys saying, “They’re playing travel baseball,” Bryan gushed. He added how he tries to make the time he spends at home special, “You just try to make your time with them at home really, really count,” he said.
The singer shared how he was also thankful for his fans and how they allowed him to enjoy moments now. “It’s all surreal,” he marveled. “I’m glad that I can really calmly process it now. I used to get really excited and almost didn’t enjoy it, because I was so amped up.”
The singer shared that he is working on a new album with some new things his fans have not seen before. He said, “We’re kinda going, hearing songs, writing songs, and when we get what we like, we go in the studio,” he shared. “I’ve got some songs that I’m really proud of and I’ve got some new vocal things that I’ve done that I think fans have never heard. … Got some other little tricks up my sleeve.”
The singer added, “I just try to go in the studio, find the best songs I can, write the best songs and sing them and make the best music I can and, you know, thankfully it’s worked for years and [I’m] just always excited to roll new music out.”
The singer was honored with the Academy of Country Music award for Album of the Decade in 2019. In 2021, he won the ACM’s Entertainer of the Year for a third time. He is also a two-time winner for the Entertainer of the Year at the Country Music Association’s CMA Awards.
As for things he still wants, the singer said, “Just a fun career.” He added, “Laughter and happiness and joy and everybody getting along and coming to shows. … That’s the thing with me. … You get so caught up in a new accolade or something, I don’t really like to operate in that space. I just like to enjoy the moment.”
