It’s been almost two weeks since the tragic passing of Matthew Perry, but the entertainment industry is still reeling in shock at his loss.
As per reports, the funeral of the Friends star was held last weekend, with loved ones gathering to say their goodbyes at Forest Memorial Park in Los Angeles.
Perry’s co-stars from his most famous acting role, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, and Lisa Kudrow, were all in attendance, with grainy images from the send-off quickly going viral online.
The late Hollywood icon led a vibrant life, marked by a series of high-profile romances. In fact, the Friends star was romantically linked to renowned names such as Julia Roberts, Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Tricia Fisher, among others.
Regrettably, many of Perry’s relationships ended due to challenges stemming from his battle with addiction. However, his memoir, ‘Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing,’ acknowledged the pivotal role played by several of his ex-partners in saving his life.
Despite his romantic relationships not lasting long term, Perry’s genuine love for each of his exes was clear, reciprocated by their love for him. After his passing, several of his former flames took to social media to share touching tributes in his memory.
In her dedication, Paltrow, who briefly dated Perry in 1993, wrote: “We drove out to swim in creeks, had beers in the local college bar, kissed in a field of long grass…”
Elizabeth Hurley, who shared an on-screen romance with Perry in Serving Sara, also posted a tribute despite not having a real-life romantic involvement with the late star.
Tricia Fisher, another of Perry’s exes, expressed her sentiments in a heartfelt caption: “Once upon a time… you were a major part of my younger life…”
Molly Hurwitz, who shared a relationship with Perry, wrote an extensive post honoring the late actor. She conveyed deep affection for Perry, emphasizing the profound impact he had on her life.
Unbeknownst to many, Perry dated actress René Ashton for a significant portion of 1999. Recently, Ashton shared never-before-seen pictures on Instagram, offering a glimpse into their private moments of cuddling, kissing, and companionship.
The heartfelt caption read: “More beautiful than an Audrey Hepburn movie you did say…” The collection of images shows the special and loving moments shared between Ashton and Perry during their relationship.
