Nick Cannon is ready to talk about his unconventional family and why, despite criticism, he sees no issue with sharing 12 children with six women.
The television personality recently spoke with Laura Berman, a sex and relationship therapist and podcast host, on an episode of her podcast and opened up about his decision to father a dozen children.
The 42-year-old said he experienced “manifestations or even…visions” that led him to believe he would be the father of many.
“You get them in pieces, or they’re fragmented,” he explained.
He compared his “deep moments” to the “Father Abraham conversation,” the conversation God had with Abraham telling him he would be the “father of many nations.”
“I’ve never heard that clarity, but I heard that like, ‘Yo, you’re gonna be a father of many. There’s gonna be your great influence, your lineage, your offspring are gonna do great things.'”
Cannon shares 12 children with ex-wife Mariah Carey, Abby De La Rosa, Alyssa Scott, Brittany Bell, Bre Tiesi, and Lanisha Cole.
