Paris Hilton reveals her son inherited ‘clubitis’ from her – there is no cure

When it comes to inheriting things from their parents, children will often receive a mix of personality, physical features, and sometimes even medical conditions.

Journey to motherhood

Paris Hilton, now a mother of two, welcomed Phoenix in January 2023, followed by the birth of daughter London in November 2023. Both children were born via surrogacy and Paris, known for her public persona, chose not to reveal the pregnancies initially, opting instead to just announce the births directly.

The decision to use a surrogate was explored on Paris Hilton’s reality show Paris in Love. Reflecting on her decision, Paris explained (via Vanity Fair): “The surrogacy process, it was definitely a difficult decision to make. But my life has just been so public. So even though the baby is biologically mine and Carter’s, we decided to have a surrogate carry him.” Concerns about safety in the public eye led Paris and her husband, Carter Reum, to opt for surrogacy.

Carter himself expressed his concerns about their children growing up under constant public scrutiny and said that it was important to both him and Paris that their children have privacy. “Now having a family with Paris, we want our family to grow up and be normal and not always be known as Paris Hilton’s children. We have to think about safety,” he explained. “When we go to the farmer’s market, it’s one thing if someone stops and asks Paris for a photo. It’s a whole other thing with the baby in tow in a stroller.”

Since the birth of her children, Paris Hilton has been documenting her journey into motherhood through her reality show and social media. However, this journey has not been without its challenges and controversies.

Paris faced criticism when she recently admitted that she did not change any of Phoenix’s diapers in his first month of life, instead delegating the task to someone else. She also previously addressed online haters who commented on Phoenix’s head size, saying that she’s proud of her son and that he just has “a large brain”.

Phoenix suffers from ‘clubitis’

Phoenix seems to have inherited a specific trait from his mother – a love for the club. Paris shared adorable videos of Phoenix showcasing his dancing skills, which she dubbed “clubitis” in reference to his inherited affinity for hitting the dance floor. There is reportedly no known cure.

The first TikTok video featured Phoenix joyfully grooving to Paris Hilton’s song ‘Lighter‘, a collaboration with Steve Aoki. The baby, comfortably settled in a walker, showed off his delightful dancing skills, much to the delight of his mother. Paris playfully captioned the video: “When you realize that clubitis is hereditary and your mom is Paris Hilton.” The clip showed Phoenix dancing in flashing lights, in what look like some pretty contagious fun!

The following day, Paris continued to share more footage of Phoenix’s dance moves. This time, he took his energetic dancing to the air, jamming on an airplane. The videos showed the little one shaking his head, and were accompanied by Paris cheering him on in the background.
