Angelina Jolie‘s been in media headlines for all manner of reasons over the past few months, but even the superstar herself might have been surprised that she’s gaining attention this week for… changing her hair.
With all the ongoing struggle and strife in the world, you might think there’s better things for people to be spending their time on that focusing on the whimsical, ever-changing appearances of celebrities.

As per reports, the 48-year-old actress was recently spotted spotting a new-look hairstyle that has split the opinions of her fans.
Traditionally a brunette with long, luscious locks, Jolie appears to be switching things up, going for a far lighter shade that edges towards blonde.
Predictably, people had a lot to say on social media, with one fan writing: “Blonde doesn’t suit her!! Only brown hair is for her.”
Another chimed: “Sadly those aren’t the changes she needs to make.“
A third added: “Her hair makes her look older. Ick.“
A fourth accused the actress of going even further, claiming: “She probably got a facelift & changed her hair so it wouldn’t be as obvious.“
The recent pictures of Jolie were supposedly taken as she departed Atelier Jolie, a retail space she opened in New York City’s SoHo district. The Mr. and Mrs. Smith star is committed to ethical and sustainable fashion, as is reflected in the items on sale at the aforementioned spot.
Jolie previously said: “I don’t want to be a big fashion designer. I want to build a house for other people to become that.
“I’ve met a lot of artisans over the years—very capable, talented people—and I’d like to see them grow.”
Some speculate that Jolie’s recent hairstyle transformation, coupled with her new foray into sustainable fashion, may be the actress’s attempt at starting a new chapter in her life. It’s been seven years now since her infamous divorce from Brad Pitt, but there remains animosity between the pair relating to several unresolved matters.
