Jeremy Renner seen for the first time since being crushed by 14,000-pound snow plow as he continues recovery

Hollywood star Jeremy Renner was spotted earlier this week for the first time since the severe injury that occurred on New Year’s Day near his home in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

On January 1, Renner was hospitalized after an accident involving a snow plow and now faces a long and arduous road to recovery.

According to reports, the Hawkeye star was using his snow-removal tractor to help remove snow from his nephew’s driveway. When the vehicle began to slide down the street towards his nephew, Renner attempted to intervene, but was dragged under its left side track and run over.

The 52-year-old was rushed to hospital with difficulty breathing – once there, he underwent several medical procedures to save his leg.

Since then, the actor has endeavored to keep fans up to date with his progress and was eventually allowed to return home to continue his recovery there.

Last month, Renner shared a shot of his physical therapy, along with the caption:

“I want to thank EVERYONE for their messages and thoughtfulness for my family and I….Much love and appreciation to you all.

He added: “These 30 plus broken bones will mend, grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens. Love and blessings to you all.”

Yet while he appears to be making serious headway with regards his return to full health, the situation seemed entirely more bleak in the hours and days immediately after Renner’s accident.

As per a harrowing 911 call log obtained by Fox News, Renner, famous for his work in The Hurt Locker, The Bourne Legacy, American Hustle, and as Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, amongst other films and shows, was “completely crushed” beneath a snowcat after the incident.

“We can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather related accident while plowing snow earlier today,” the star’s rep confirmed with Variety at the time.

“His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care.”

Indeed, it would appear that the Hollywood heavyweight is in full recovery move. Last week he admitted he was doing “whatever it takes” to aid his recovery, and posted a video of him working out using a Technogym bike.

Meanwhile, The Hurt Locker star was seen for the first time since his accident on Monday when he was snapped in Beverly Hills, California on Monday.

As per the Daily Mail, Renner was seen smiling as he was driven to an office building, where he spent around half an hour before departing.

Here’s to wishing Jeremy Renner all the best in his continued recovery. I think he’s shown extraordinary grit and determination so far.
