Another day, another viral gender reveal.
This time we’re just glad it didn’t end in tragedy, which it very well could have.
Peg Theobald, a soon-to-be mom of three, gathered her family in front of the camera for what should have been a fun and innocent reveal. Instead their viral video turned into a lesson on the importance of not speaking with our mouth full of food.
Each had a plate with a white cupcake and presumably inside was either pink for a girl or blue for a boy.
“Okay, what’s our guess?” Peg said before everyone took a big bite.
“We’re guessing girl,” her son Everson said, while her husband guessed it was going to be a boy.
On the count of three they all took a big bite.
As soon as they bite into the cupcakes they discover the newest addition to their family will be a little girl. Everyone is ecstatic.
However, while everyone celebrates Everson, who just moments earlier questioned if he’d even be able to bite into the big cupcake, begins choking.
“I can’t breathe,” he says as he turns to his parents who are hugging.
In all the excitement both seem confused and urge their son to “take a breath.”
The video cuts off seconds later when it appears Everson falls over.
As extremely concerning as the video appeared, Peg clarified on her Instagram account that Everson was “ok,” and that he didn’t fall or pass out. “He stepped off a stool he was on.”
She also thanked everyone for their congratulations and well wishes.
