Former teen star and one half of Nickelodeon’s smash-hit Drake and Josh show from the ’00s, Drake Bell, has come forward to break his silence after being reported as missing and endangered by Florida police.
As per reports, Daytona Beach Police Department broke the news concerning Bell’s sudden disappearance yesterday (Thursday, April 13), alerting people to the fact that their officers were actively searching for him.
The 36-year-old, who rose to fame via Drake and Josh, which ran between 2004 and 2007, had been last seen traveling in a 2022 grey BMW in the area of Mainland High School, Daytona Beach on Wednesday, April 12.

Announcing Bell’s disappearance, the authorities wrote: “He is considered missing and endangered. If you know where he is or have any information, please contact Detective Jayson Wallace at 386-671-5207 or [email protected].”
The statement was met with confusion on the internet. Indeed, so many commentators questioned if the Dayton Beach PD were serious that they were forced to issue another post to clarify.
“For those asking, this is a legitimate post from the Daytona Beach Police Department,” they announced in a follow-up.
Reportedly, family members of the actor had become concerned for his whereabouts and well-being, sparking a hunt.
An insider told US Weekly: “There was some communication with family members that caused concern so they are worried about him and looking for him.”
Yet it turned out the worry was nothing since Bell was found just a few hours later.
“At this time, we can confirm law enforcement officials are in contact and Mr. Bell is safe,” Dayton Beach Police Department wrote.

As for Bell’s exact whereabouts, the police didn’t clarify further, though the 36-year-old later shared his own Twitter post.
“You leave your phone in the car and don’t answer for the night and this?” he wrote, along with a crying with laughter emoji.
After marrying Janet Von Schemling in 2018, Bell welcomed a son, Jeremy Drake Bell, in 2021. He and Von Schemling reportedly decided to separate in late 2018.
Well, I for one am glad that he’s been found safe and well, and that this was nothing more than a false alarm.
