Women with big butts are more likely to produce smarter children, says study

Ever looked in the mirror and thought ‘my butt looks big today’? I have, and, to be honest, from time to time it’s made me feel a little self-conscious.

No longer. Recent research from Oxford University has reportedly revealed that women who boast larger glutes are smarter and healthier than those who don’t.

We know, cue celebrations from the likes of Kim Kardashian and Nicki Minaj. The study in question even linked larger bums to the ability to resists chronic illnesses, as well as having lower cholesterol and lowers glucose levels …

But wait! It gets even better.

Another part of the same Oxford University study has come to light, and it makes for pretty interesting reading if you’re possessive of a bigger butt.

Researchers were able to find a correlation between big butts and a child’s IQ, which is to infer that those with boisterous behinds give birth to smarter children in general.

It’s said this could be down to the fact that ‘bigger’ women boast higher levels of “good” fatty acids, specifically Omega 3.

These fatty acids help the development of a baby’s brain, thereby giving them a boost if there’s more of it to be found.

So … long story short? Don’t fret if you’ve got an above average bottom.

Obviously, it’s important to maintain a healthy lifestyle – don’t go piling on the pounds simply in the hope of birthing the next Einstein – but the study itself certainly provides food for thought.

Well, that’s practically all the women in my family set to be happy for the day!
