A Cracker Barrel customer is going viral for altering the decor inside her local restaurant.
A TikTok user, @gash.79, who goes by Darcy, shared a video of herself placing a photo of herself and her sister reminiscent of Grant Wood’s American Gothic on a mantel inside the dining area.
Hilarity immediately ensued.
In the video, which has since been viewed more than 20 million times, Darcy looks around the restaurant before pulling a small picture frame out from underneath the table.
She casually gets up from her table, walks over to a nearby mantel, and carefully places the photo among the rest of the Americana decorations.
Not a single person appears to notice her.
The two later take a photo of themselves in front of their local Cracker Barrel’s new decor, which of course is a photo of themselves.
Many who commented on the viral video found Darcy’s harmless prank to be hysterical, and just as many wanted an update.
Was the photo still on the mantel?
Darcy went back the following day and lo and behold, the photo was still there!
In an update video, the photo can be seen on the mantel as Darcy follows the hostess to her table.
The only thing that would make this even funnier is if Darcy went back a year later and found her picture was still on the mantel.
