Bette Midler is a successful singer, actress, and comedian. She has had a solid career for almost six decades and she is still thriving. But there has been some speculation about her looks over the years.
And now, she is opening up about what she has had done…
On Monday night, Bette Midler received the Distinguished Collaborator award at the Costume Designers Guild Awards. The 77-year-old actress made a joke about how “time has a way of smoothing everything out,” as she accepted the award.
“I’ve been at it for close to 60 years… and I do look fabulous, I know,” she went on. “I’ve had some tailoring done on my face,” she admitted.

Before the acceptance speech, the actress had always kept quiet about her looks. Until this speech, the actress-singer had never talked about the work she had done to her face. Over the years, there has been speculation that Midler has had a facelift or Botox, or some kind of plastic surgery.
While she has kept quiet about what she has had over the years, she has never been against the idea of getting work done. In a 2008 interview she said, “When it really starts to cave in, I probably will start to give it a real good think.”
Before she accepted the award, the Hocus Pocus 2 actress talked to the media on the red carpet saying that she prefers comfort over glamor when she is dressing.
As for her style motivation she said, “Depends on how badly the day is going. It depends on — everyone’s always in a tizz, and everyone’s always beside themselves to if it’s going to work or not, and sometimes you have three or four things that, ‘I can’t wear that tonight.'”
She added, “So, it’s very impromptu. It’s very improvised. For me, anyway.”
As for her looks, the actress-singer said that both on and off set, something you get it “really, really wrong.”
“Often it is a mix, and sometimes you’re right. And sometimes you’re really, really wrong,” Midler said. That’s happened plenty of times.”
It is nice to see Bette Midler accepting her age and the procedures she has done to keep her youthful looks.
