Former FBI Special Agent says Charlie Kirk killer ‘likely’ leaked murder plan

The shooter who killed Charlie Kirk is still on the run. The FBI published pictures of the alleged suspect late Thursday, including a video of the alleged shooter climbing down from a nearby rooftop and fleeing the scene.

Just what lies behind the horrific assassination of the conservative political influencer is not yet known. But now, a former FBI Special Agent has claimed that someone is most likely withholding information that could lead to his arrest.

The manhunt for Charlie Kirk is ongoing. The suspect is still at large, and although two individuals were initially arrested (and later released), it took approximately 24 hours for authorities to provide further information.

Speaking at the press conference, FBI Special Agent Robert Bohls stated that he doesn’t believe the community is at risk and that they are “exhausting every resource” to find the person responsible.

Authorities later released a picture of the suspect, along with video footage showing a person climbing down from a roof and disappearing across a parking lot. On Thursday, Utah Department of Public Safety Director, Beau Mason, said: “Starting at 11:52 a.m. this subject arrived on campus, shortly away from campus.

“We have tracked his movements onto the campus through the stairwells, up to the roof across the roof to the shooting location,” he continued. “After the shooting, we were able to track his movements as he moved to the other side of the building, jumped off of the building and fled, off of the campus and into a neighborhood.”

At the time of writing, not much is known about the suspect, but in an interview with Fox, retired FBI Supervisory Special Agent and profiler James Clemente stated that the individual most likely is a person who lacks social skills and isolates himself. He added that the shooter likely doesn’t have a plan for what’s coming.

“In this case, it’s likely that there has been, for some time, a building frustration, and anger and rage and an inability to feel that is addressed. And so they wanted to make a big — a very big — public statement. [The suspect] probably has a very poor self-image and wanted to do something big to feel better about themselves,” Clemente said.

“And they probably, again, don’t have the skills to address these issues in a calm, rational, interpersonal way. And that’s why they lashed out in this very violent and extreme manner.”

James Clemente continued by noting that the shooter “likely” has dropped hints or revealed details of the assassination of Charlie Kirk to friends or family, or through social media. Former FBI agent says ‘a number of people’ probably know who shot and killed Charlie Kirk

“Somebody knows this person”

Furthermore, the former FBI Special Agent stated that it was “probably the first time that they ever acted out in this way.” He also claimed that the person likely doesn’t have a plan for how to proceed after the shooting.

“He had no idea what was going to happen afterwards, what was going to happen during, whether he was going to get away with it or not. And, so, therefore, he didn’t plan out his after-game,” Clemente continued in the Fox interview.

“Somebody knows this person. A number of people know this person. A number of people will have some kind of interaction with him, in which he will sort of try to avoid the spotlight until the heat is off of him.

“And so he may leave the area for kind of a last-minute emergency and then try to come back when everything’s calmed down.”
