Influencer spends $85,000 on surgery after butt implants ‘fell out’

A UK influencer says she’s spent over $85,000 correcting a botched cosmetic procedure after her butt implants literally fell out following a gym session.

Chelsea Robinson, 29, had flown to the Dominican Republic in 2019 for butt augmentation surgery, believing it to be the best place for the procedure. But her dream of a curvier figure quickly turned into a nightmare.

Speaking on Olivia Attwood: The Price of Perfection on Britain’s ITV, Chelsea recalled the moment things went wrong. “I went to the gym not long after I got back. I was squatting when my leg suddenly went all tingly… and I felt something come out,” she said. “My implant was hanging.”

Chelsea later discovered the implant had shifted out from under the muscle, requiring urgent corrective surgery that cost her more than $85,000. “If I knew all the ins and outs, I would have never got the bum implants. That was the worst journey I’ve ever been through, it wasn’t worth it,” she told Attwood. “It was horrendous.”

Despite the traumatic ordeal, the influencer and lingerie model says she hasn’t been completely put off cosmetic surgery. Over the past decade, she’s had four separate boob jobs (starting at age 18) spending just under $10,000 in total on her chest alone.

Driven by intense competition in the modelling world, Chelsea admits she chased increasingly dramatic results. “I kind of fell into lingerie modelling, but I felt like I couldn’t compete. I had an A-cup. No boobs, no bum. I wanted to look like everyone else.”

Her most recent breast implants each weighed nearly 1kg. All told, she estimates she’s spent over $135,000 on cosmetic procedures across 11 years.

Looking back at old photos during the interview, Chelsea became emotional. “I look so ugly there,” she said. “There’s just no definition. No boobs, no bum.”

Reflecting on her journey, she admitted the allure of cosmetic enhancement can be hard to resist. “There’s always something else you need or want, something that could make you look better. It’s almost like an adrenaline rush. And I feel like that’s what you end up chasing.”
