Elle Fanning recently gave an interview to Vanity Fair, in which she disclosed a crush on a fellow actor in Hollywood. The actor, who is much older than the actress, is none other than the comedic legend Jack Black.
Elle Fanning, the younger sister of actress Dakota Fanning, admitted that her biggest crush was Jack Black, which surprised many.
Jack Black is 30 years older than Elle Fanning but that does not stop the young actress for having a crush on him. She revealed, that to her he was ‘the hottest man I’ve ever seen in my life hot. Like sex on legs’.
Recently, Black was doing an interview promoting his film Anaconda with Paul Rudd when he was told about the younger Fanning’s crush on him. His response was posted as a TikTok video where he called Fanning’s feelings as ‘goblin dysmorphia’.
People quickly drew comparisons about this situation with his movie ‘Shallow Hal’ in which he starred alongside Gwyneth Paltrow. The plot of the film revolves around Black who plays the character of Hal, who is attracted to outward beauty.
Life coach Tony Robbins curses him so that he sees people for the beauty they have on the inside instead. So then Hal meets Rosemary Shanahan, played by Gwyneth Paltrow’s character, who is actually much heavier than she appears to him.
After Black described himself as a ‘goblin’ fans immediately made references to the movie he made in the early naughts. One wrote referring to the movie, saying, “from the creators of “Shallow Hal”… arrives “Profound Elle”
“He made a movie like this already,” another person wrote.
“Had the same thought too! He’s living Shallow Hal,” another wrote. “Sooo Elle has the Shallow Hal effect,” another person joked.
Jack Black closed his eyes and professed that he was unable to process the compliment but still thanked Elle Fanning for sending it his way. He also made a joke about her boyfriend, saying to 35-year-old Gus Wenner, “And to the boyfriend, dude — we got no beef. We’re cool. I didn’t do nothing to deserve this attention.”
