Sofía Vergara is perhaps one of the most beloved actresses from Colombia. She married actor Joe Manganiello in 2015. The two of them began dating in 2014 when Vergara’s engagement to businessman Nick Loeb ended.
Manganiello got Vergara’s number from her Modern Family co-star Jesse Tyler Ferguson. The actor flew to New Orleans to take her out on a date. The two of them hit it off and were engaged after six months of dating. On November 22, 2015, the couple tied the knot and officially became husband and wife.
People started noticing that something was amiss a few months ago when Vergara was in Italy celebrating her birthday, but her husband, Joe Manganiello, was noticeably missing.
After fans speculated about the status of their marriage, the couple announced their decision to split. They released a joint statement that said, “We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”
Following the announcement of their split, both of them were seen out enjoying their lives.
Sofía Vergara also spoke about how the year had been for her, “It’s been very interesting, you know. It’s been an interesting year for me,” Vergara said. “A lot of changes, a lot of good and craziness and bad things happen and good things happen. You know, what makes life so entertaining and interesting.”
Now it is being reported that Joe Manganiello has found a new flame amid his divorce from Sofía. The 46-year-old actor is reportedly seeing actress Caitlin O’Connor from Winning Time.
According to a source, Manganiello met 33-year-old O’Connor at a small “unofficial” afterparty for an HBO drama. The two of them found themselves in a hot tub where they first connected.
The source shared, “They were talking the whole time,” and are now “casually seeing each other at this point.” The source went on to add that O’Connor “is a lovely girl” and Manganiello “seemed like a great guy.”
O’Connor, is a Los Angeles-born actress and TV host but grew up in Uniontown, Pennsylvania before she returned to L.A. to study English at UCLA. She is known for her work as an entertainment reported and for minor roles in shows like Two and a Half Men, Ballers, and Days of Our Lives.
A little while after rumors of their coupling spread, the couple was seen leaving Gold’s Gym in Venice, California together. Manganiello was wearing shorts and a white tank top from his streetwear line, Death Saves, and O’Connor wore a blue athletic top and black leggings. The two of them were chatting to one another with smiles, and then jumped into Manganiello’s Cadillac SUV and drove off.
Manganiello filed a petition for divorce in July which stated the couple’s date of separation as July 2, 2023. They divorced after seven years of marriage.
