Jon Gosselin starred in a reality television show with his ex-wife and eight children, where the young couple depicted the highs and lows of raising eight small children. But the couple parted ways in 2009, just a year after the couple renewed their vows.
People were shocked by the sudden end to their marriage, considering they also shared eight young children together. But it seems like Jon Gosselin has moved on now and is seeking to clear the air regarding his relationship not just with his ex-wife Kate Gosselin but also his eight children.
He gave an interview along with his longtime girlfriend, Stephanie Lebo. The two of them recounted the emotional and legal drama they have been embroiled in after Jon’s divorce from Kate.
Jon was the primary parent for two of his children, Hannah and Collin. While Hannah still lives wit him, he revealed that his son Collin has joined the Marines Corps.
Jon then revealed details of his relationship with his other six children. He shared that the relationship was basically non-existent. He sadly shared that he had not spoken to some of his children for over 10 years.
Jon’s eight children are his sextuplets which include Collin, Aaden, Alexis, Hannah, Joel and Leah — all of whom are 19. And he also had two daughters, 22-year-old Mady and Cara, who are twins.
“I haven’t talked to Mady and Cara for, oh I don’t even know, over a decade,” Jon says. “And then I haven’t talked to Joel, Aaden, Leah and Alexis for five years.”
He says he wants to make a connection but it is not really up to him. The former reality television star shared, “At this point, they’re adults now. So, I mean, I don’t even know their phone numbers or stuff. Hannah went down there and talked to them… I’ve kind of just stuck with the kids that live here.”
He went on to say, “It doesn’t work the way you think it would work.” By this, he was referring to the bad blood between him and his ex-wife Kate Gosselin. He shared how she basically planned to alienate him from his children.
“So until my other kids figure that out … [and] stop believing in one side of the story, I can’t do anything else,” Jon claims.
“I’ve tried to reach out to them and it has failed numerous times,” Jon shares.
He also shared that he has no communication with his ex-wife Kate. When asked about how Kate feels about his long-term relationship with his girlfriend Stephanie Lebo, he said, “I don’t know. I don’t talk to Kate. I have no idea. I haven’t heard her voice since 2018.”
