Kevin Bacon and his wife Kyra Sedgwick are celebrating 35 years of marriage. Both of them are known for their sweet Instagram posts about one another, and this occasion, of course, was no exception. Both of them posted images of their early years as a married couple.
Kevin Bacon posted a sweet picture of Kyra sitting in his lap as he sits shirtless and kisses her forehead. In the caption, he wrote, “35 years feels like a heartbeat. #Anniversary.”
Rita Wilson commented on the sweet photo, writing, “You guys! Happy Anniversary! Can you believe it? It goes so fast! We are 35, soon to be 36!”
Kyra Sedgwick also posted a picture of the couple from when they were young. In the picture, Kyra is in front of Kevin, wearing a letterman jacket and her hair slicked back. Kevin stands behind her in a black top. She captioned the picture, “It was 1987- on the set of ‘Lemon Sky’ – I met a man named Kevin. Happy 35 my love.”
The couple has always been honest about their love for one another, and in a previous interview, Bacon revealed how he was “knocked out” on his first meeting with Sedgwick.
“I thought she was amazing,” he said, while Sedgwick recounted, “I remember thinking, ‘Oh, he thinks he’s really cool.'” However, the day after their first date, she realized he was on the one. “I remember waking up and going, ‘I feel like home.'” She added, “I realized, ‘Oh, that was him.'”
A plethora of comments said the same thing: how these two are the best couple in Hollywood. One person commented, “the best Hollywood duo for life !” while another added, “My favorite Hollywood couple!” Clearly, they are fan favorites!
Bacon is not a big fan of his birthdays but clearly likes celebrating his anniversary. Earlier this year, in July, when he celebrated his 65th birthday, the actor took to social media to say that while he was not a big fan of celebrating his birthday, his wife did a wonderful job in making the day special for him. He wrote, “Anyone who knows me knows I’m not a fan of my birthday. My wife has made this a beautiful day. She has said recently our marriage is like roast chicken, so she made a perfect chicken for dinner, followed by my favorite–buckwheat banana bread with chocolate icing. Perfect day.”
He posted two pictures, one image where he’s seen with a slice of cake and the second of his roasted chicken. It was such a down-to-earth and lovely celebration of his birthday!
The couple wed in September 1988 and have two children together. They have a 34-year-old son named Travis Bacon and a 31-year-old daughter named Sosie Bacon.
