While the man shot the woman in her neck, she ended up escaping the situation but it did not end well at all for him. The entire incident took on a shocking turn…
The Dallas Police Department got a call at about 11:30 a.m. about a suspected shooting that they immediately jumped on. The call was for an apartment complex in the Medical District near Bengal Street in the city.
Police immediately responded to the call but did not find anyone in the apartment. They did discover a large amount of blood as well as a trail of blood that led to the outside of the apartment.
Around the same time, a call was made to officials from a nearby hospital reporting a man and woman with gunshot wounds who were found inside a vehicle.
The man was identified by police as 26-year-old Byron Redmon. The woman’s identity has not been released to the public.
According to preliminary investigations done by the police, Redmon had shot the woman in the neck. The bullet then allegedly exited the woman’s neck and shot Redmon in his leg.
According to Police, Redmon passed away at the hospital. And WFAA confirmed that the woman was treated and released the same day as she had been brought in.
It is not yet known how the exited bullet struck Redmon or what caused the shooting to take place in the first place. However, Police are still investigating the matter and looking into the situation.
It is a relief that the woman survived this attempt on her life, even after being shot in her neck which happens to be such a sensitive area of the body.
We wish her a speedy recovery and hope officials are able to investigate the matter successfully and bring all parties to justice, as they deserve.
