With the threat of a war looming closer than ever, an old prediction by Nostradamus is making rounds on the internet again, for what he seemed to have predicted for 2026.

Astrologer and prophet Nostradamus, who lived in the 16th century, made a prediction about a cataclysmic drone war in 2026, which is now gaining widespread attention.
In the prediction, he predicted a “seven-month war” and a “great swarm of bees,” which some are speculating could have actually meant ‘drones.’ The predictions he made were written in quatrains that claimed to foretell the fate of the world. Some of the predictions he made in his 1555 work, 942 cryptic, four-line poetic quatrains, were prophecies.
One of the passages he wrote at the time read, “The great swarm of bees will arise by the night ambush”. This particular passage was linked to the number 26. And some people are now speculating whether the ‘bees’ actually represent drones. There is even a type of bee that exists, which is called the “drone bee.”
The bee mentioned in his stanzas could likely have been metaphorical, as in 1555, the existence of drones was almost inconceivable. Now, in this day and age, it seems logical to draw a conclusion about the bees’ actually meaning drones. However, some people believe it could also mean that an influential political leader has won a victory by securing many votes.
Nostradamus’ prediction could possibly point towards a devastating drone war. One place reads, “Seven months great war, people dead through evil/ Rouen, Evreux the King will not fail.”
This verse could be talking about various conflicts that are taking place around the world, including the Russia-Ukraine war or the current conflict in the Middle East and Iran. Some believe Nostradamus predicted when the US dropped atomic bombs on Japan’s Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War Two because of what he had written in the past about “within two cities, there will be scourges the like of which was never seen.”
Another prediction by Nostradamus said that Switzerland will be “drenched in blood,” he even named the exact place for that being Ticino. He wrote, “Because of the favor that the city will show… the Ticino will overflow with blood…”
