Tyson Fury sparks backlash after sharing photo from White House UFC event

Tyson Fury has found himself at the center of controversy after sharing a social media post from a UFC event hosted at the White House with some fans saying they can no longer support the boxing star.

Former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury made a surprise appearance at the UFC Freedom 250 event, which was held as part of celebrations surrounding President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday.

Fury attended alongside his wife, Paris, and was also photographed with UFC president Dana White, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Trump himself.

A detail that caught fans’ attention

In a photo shared on Instagram, Fury wore a cap featuring the words “Donald Trump for Prime Minister” alongside the American and British flags.

The boxer could also be seen pointing toward the hat in the image.

He accompanied the post with the caption:

– @realdonaldtrump for Prime Minister #makebritaingreatagain

The post quickly attracted attention from both supporters and critics.

A divided fanbase

Many followers took to the comments section to share their thoughts, with many expressing disappointment over Fury’s public support for Trump.

“I am so disappointed. I thought you and Paris were such a great couple, but I just can’t follow you if you’re Trump fan,” one person wrote.

Another commented:

“Can’t be a Trump supporter and a follower of Christ.”

Others defended Fury’s right to express his political views.

“Omg who knew Tyson had so many lefty followers, one supporter wrote.”

Fury’s appearance at the event had already sparked curiosity before the social media controversy.

The boxer told reporters he was expected to make an announcement alongside Dana White, who recently launched the boxing promotion company Zuffa Boxing.

However, no announcement was ultimately made, leaving some fans wondering why Fury had attended.
