Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor – formerly Prince Andrew – is now accusing Princess Kate of orchestrating his downfall, vowing to get revenge against the future queen – the “silent assassin who quietly pulled the strings” from behind palace walls.
Once a senior royal with military honors and a residence at the opulent Royal Lodge, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor – formerly Prince Andrew – is now a private citizen stripped of his titles, facing exile from the royal estate, and clinging to claims of betrayal from inside The Firm.
The catalyst for this dramatic fall, according to sources close to the disgraced royal, isn’t just his widely scrutinized connection to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Andrew, 65, is now blaming someone much closer to the crown for orchestrating his ouster from behind the scenes.
Fall from grace
The pressure on Andrew reached a boiling point with the October release of Virginia Giuffre’s posthumously released memoir, “Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice.”
The book introduced new, detailed allegations, including that Andrew – who reportedly reached a financial settlement with Giuffre in 2022 – had sex with her three times when she was younger, reigniting public outrage and intensifying calls for accountability within the monarchy.

As fallout from the book escalated, Andrew’s standing within the royal family continued to erode.
Stripped of titles and evicted from Royal Lodge
The unraveling of Andrew’s royal life came in stages. In October 2025, he released a statement formally renouncing his titles and affiliations, calling the public accusations against him a distraction to the monarchy.
He ended the noticed defending himself: “I vigorously deny the accusations against me.”
Shortly after, on Oct. 30, Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles III had formally started the process to remove Andrew’s royal titles and privileges, including his residence at Royal Lodge.
“Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor,” read the statement. “His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation.”
‘Kicking his heels’
Months later, Andrew is still living in the Royal Lodge, and according to royal author Robert Jobson, he’s “kicking his heels” and delaying his move to a private estate in Sandringham in Norfolk, owned by his brother, King Charles III.
“Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor seems to be kicking his heels,” Jobson told HELLO! “The disgraced royal has made it clear to the King and courtiers who sent him packing, that he is going nowhere fast.
“Despite formal notice being served in October to surrender his Royal Lodge lease, he won’t budge until February at the earliest,” said the man who authored several books on the monarchy. “Sources say Andrew is ‘leaning on every technical step available’ to slow the process. Delay as strategy. Why rush to your own diminishment?”
Targets Kate
As Andrew prepares for his move to Sandringham, reports indicate he has become increasingly fixated on Princess Kate, 44. Their relationship had once been cordial, dating back to her early years in the royal family when she started dating Prince William in 2002.
“She was always very warm,” a source said. “He believed Kate genuinely liked him. Now, she won’t even look at Andrew.”
The former Duke of York allegedly believes that the Princess of Wales used her proximity to King Charles – particularly during the monarch’s ongoing battle with cancer – to steer decisions that ultimately pushed him out for good.
“Andrew is absolutely certain that major decisions about his future were run past both Kate and William. But instead of blaming William for getting him forced out, he’s turned his wrath on Kate,” the informant suggested. “He claims she’s using her influence to make sure he stays sidelined!”

‘Silent assassin’
According to the anonymous source, Kate also apparently orchestrated Andrew’s royal exile.
“Andrew keeps going on about how she’s a silent assassin who quietly pulled the strings,” the insider shared. “Andrew is telling anyone who will listen that Kate is the reason his family has disowned him. He’s vowing to get back at her, somehow.”
The narrative took an even more dramatic turn in December when Andrew was spotted horseback riding alone in dreary weather while senior royals, including Kate, William, and his daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, attended the family’s Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace.
