Two children who had been abducted from Missouri nearly one year ago were found safe in Florida last week.
Brooke Gilley, 11, and Adrian Gilley, 12, were discovered in Florida with their “non-custodial mother”, Kristi Nicole Gilley, during a routine vehicle tag check.
After the High Springs Police Department checked her tags and noticed she was a fugitive, they located her inside a Winn-Dixie with the siblings who were dressed in disguise.
The 36-year-old was arrested for kidnapping. A felony kidnapping warrant had been issued for her in July 2022.

Both Brooke and Adrian had been missing since March 15, 2022.
Police have yet to release details on what led up to their disappearance nearly one year ago.
In a statement the HSPD commented the siblings would be turned over to the Florida Department of Children and Families Services before being reunited with their “birth family.”
While we don’t know the entire story, let’s be grateful that the children are safe.
