Kate Middleton said toddler tantrums are “hard” – she couldn’t deal with Louis’ tantrum at Queen’s Jubilee

Raising a toddler is no easy task and when the entire world is watching you – you can definitely feel the pressure. The Duchess of Cambridge definitely had a hard time keeping her composure during the Queen’s jubilee celebrations!

Prince William and Kate Middleton had a fairytale wedding in 2011 with the entire world watching in awe. The couple always knew they wanted kids and soon after they welcomed their eldest son, Prince George followed by their younger children Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

While their children would be royals, the couple made the conscious decision to not raise them the way royal children are raised. They wanted to parent in their own way.

They wanted to form a closer and warmer relationship with their children, where the kids felt comfortable voicing their opinions and expressing their emotions. But even with this, there are strict rules and boundaries that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have set when it comes to their children.

“Prince William and Duchess Kate ‘are strict but fair,” a source once said in an interview.

They try to be there for their children at all times. The pictures of Prince William dropping off Prince George at school went viral when they were published. The parents just want to make sure their children always feel loved and comforted by their presence.

As parents, they want to make sure their children are well disciplined. George, Charlotte, and Louis are taught not to take their status for granted and to be respectful of others. A very valuable life lesson indeed!

They are very strict about manners. Sources say, “Kate, in particular, is very hot on manners.”

They make sure to immediately communicate why their behavior might not have been acceptable. Instead of enforcing a time-out, they make sure to have a chat with their child about their behavior to get to the root of it.

They do not believe in shouting at their child since it makes the child react negatively as well. Instead, they are said to narrate the consequences of their child’s actions in a very even-toned manner.

Experts believe this is a great parenting technique. And a lot of people credit this parenting style to be the reason why their older two children have always been so well behaved in previous public appearances.

Kate’s parenting is lauded the world over. In a question-answer session for social media, someone asked her how she deals with tantrums from her kids, especially when she has numerous, to which she answered, “Yes, that’s a hard one! I’d also like to ask the experts myself!”

And while the Cambridge children have stayed well-behaved in most public functions, Prince Louis’ behavior at the Queen’s Jubilee celebration on June 2, 2022, went viral for all the wrong reasons.

The 4-year-old clearly could not sit still. When he started acting out, Kate as always tried to calmly talk to the naughty little boy. But in response, he covered his mother’s mouth with his hand. After which he proceeded to gesture with his hands and make funny faces.

His mother’s calm words fell on deaf ears as he decided to stand on his seat and then apparently throw a pillow. This was not the first time he acted out on the same day and caught the world’s attention for his antics.

When the family was gathered to view the procession through the Palace windows, Louis once again had stolen the show. He ran past everyone to get the best spot, including Queen Elizabeth, his great-grandmother. He then made animated faces, including displaying a rather exaggerated reaction to the loud planes flying overhead. He covered his ears with his hands, shut his eyes, and began to scream.

Mike Tindall, who is married to William’s cousin Zara Tindall was sitting behind Kate and her misbehaving child. He jokingly gestured to Louis that he was watching him. Reminding him to behave.

As the Platinum Jubilee Pageant ended, Kate made sure to stand behind Louis at all times so she could reign any bad behavior in. To distract him, his grandfather Prince Charles sat him on his lap as well.

It seemed to have worked because he planted a kiss on Kate’s cheek at the end of it!

Children are hilarious sometimes, especially in serious and somber situations. Share Prince Louis’ adorable reactions at the Queen’s Jubilee celebration to make everyone’s day!
