Christine Lakin is claimed a satirical video might be the reason behind her losing a role on Fuller House. She is saying that the video might have rubbed Candace Cameron Bure the wrong way.

She opened up about the entire experience on a podcast. She appeared on Jodie Sweetin’s podcast “How Rude, Tanneritos,” and shared how she was dismissed from the show even before the table read. She said she was just gearing up to meet the cast when her agent called with some news.

She said her agent first told her that the table read had been pushed to another date, and the next day, the agent told her that she had simply been dropped from the show.

Lakin was obviously looking for a way to find out why she had been let go before the show even happened. However, no one would tell her what the reason was.

While no one confirmed the reason, the actress has her own idea of what it couple be. She shared how she did a video in 2012 for “Funny or Die” where she made fun of Kirk Cameron, a very famous evangelist who is known for his anti-gay views.

In the video, Lakin, and other former child starts joke about how they are members of Child Celebrities Opposing Kirk Cameron or “CCOKC.”

And since Kirk’s sister is Candance Cameron Bure, who played D.J. Tanner in Full House. And according to Lakin, Bure is the reason she was booted from Fuller House. However, she has no proof for this.

In 2022, Bure was in hot water for her views on the LGBTQ+ community as she left the Hallmark channel because the network was featuring more and more same-sex couples in their films.
