One of the greatest mysteries of life is what happens to a human being after they die. While the philosophical aspect of it might vary from person to person; the physical aspect of it has been researched by some.
Now a harrowing simulation shows exactly what happens to the human body when a person dies.

A YouTube video is showing what happens to the body when rigor mortis sets in. The video shows that the process starts immediately with blood setting into areas of the body which are closest to the ground.
The example in the video showed purple and red patches all over the skin where the blood had settled like the back of the head which usually touches the casket or floor.
Next, the organs start to degrade as ‘bacteria and enzymes’ target them. This then causes a gas to be released which causes the corpse to bloat.

This stage takes a few weeks to occur and by this point, the internet organs begin to waste away as well.
Then when a few weeks pass, your eyeballs liquify and your skin begins to fall off.
The video shows in morbid detail what exactly happens to the eyeballs.
However, the body being reduced to just bones can at times take years.
“Over the course of several years, your remaining tissue continues to decay,” it continued,” the video explains. Leaving in place only the skeleton.
Daniel Wescott, director of the Forensic Anthropology Center at Texas State University, said that when a body is buried in a casket, it breaks down within a year but it can take up to a decade to fully decompose and turn into a skeleton.
Nicholas Passalacqua, an associate professor at the Forensic Osteology Research Station at Western Carolina University, shared that if a body is buried without a casket, they can skeletonized within five years because insects and other elements come into play.
Once your organs stop working and there is a lack of oxygen in the body, it can turn green in around 18 hours as bacteria begins to take over which in turn produces an unpleasant odor.
This is followed by green-black blood vessels becoming visible through skin after 24 to 48 hours. The environment also greatly impacts how the body disintegrates after rigor mortis sets in, that is why at times, bodies are kept in cooler places to delay the process that begins with ones death.
The idea of what happens after death is one that captivates a lot of people. With this video we know what will happen to our body once we pass. Share this with others so they can also know what to expect.
