But not long ago time, it wasn’t just him turning heads — it was his son.
When the father-son duo made a striking appearance in December 2024 at a red carpet event in Abu Dhabi, people online couldn’t stop talking.
Steve Harvey has long made it clear that, beyond his career, family comes first.
“Family is my reason why,” he once said about being a father. “I work to leave a legacy and hopefully [make] the world a better place for them.”
The Family Feud host became a father for the first time in 1982, when he and his then-wife, Marcia Harvey, welcomed twin daughters, Brandi and Karli. Years later, the couple had a son, Broderick Harvey Jr., before their marriage ended in 1994.
In 1997, Stevie had another son, Wynton Harvey, with his second wife, Mary Shackelford.
When the Emmy-winning television host later married Marjorie Harvey, he expanded his family even further. He adopted her three children from a previous relationship — daughters Morgan and Lori, and son Jason — bringing the total to seven children in their blended household.

Marjorie later spoke about the challenges of bringing their family together, explaining that many blended families come with emotional baggage.
“When you’re dealing with a blended family, everyone is coming from a place of broken,” she said in 2016.
But she and Steve were determined to create something strong and unified.
“We knew this was right,” she added. “Now we’re Mom and Dad to everybody.”
Steve Harvey has often spoken proudly about his role as a father, but it is his youngest son, Wynton Harvey, who continues to capture the most public attention.
Wynton Brycelon Ali Harvey was born on July 18, 1997, to Steve Harvey and his second wife, Mary Shackelford. The couple later divorced in 2005 after nearly a decade of marriage.
In a 2016 interview with People, Steve reflected on the breakup, admitting, ”I got married for the wrong reasons. I was tired of being alone. I have to own that. It was me, not her.”
Following the separation, Mary Shackelford later made public allegations against the comedian in 2011, including claims of infidelity and disputes over custody. Steve Harvey denied wrongdoing and stated that he was awarded primary custody of Wynton when their son was 13, adding that Wynton later chose to live with him.

Today, Wynton is based in Atlanta and works as a photographer. ‘according to his Instagram, he now calls Dubai home. He has also dipped his toes into the entertainment industry. On Christmas Day 2023, he released his debut album, Lights Off, writing: “This journey is far from over, wherever it takes, we look forward to seeing you there We give thanks to all.”
But many of his followers are also impressed by Wynton’s style. He has also been seen alongside his father, Steve Harvey, on multiple red carpets in Abu Dhabi.
In 2024, Wynton Harvey turned heads after stepping out in a sleek all-black outfit that quickly went viral online. With his afro hairstyle and confident presence, fans were quick to point out his striking resemblance to his father.
After photos from a recent event were shared on Instagram, comments poured in.
One user wrote, “Steve Harvey[‘s] younger self… that’s his twin❤️🔥👏.”
Others echoed the same reaction:

The father-son duo has drawn attention for their coordinated style on several occasions.
In October 2023, Steve Harvey posted a video of the two on TikTok, captioned: “Mr. Put it ON.”
In the clip, both wore tailored black suits and sunglasses while posing together, with Wynton adding his own bold fashion twist. The video quickly gained traction, reinforcing their reputation as one of entertainment’s most stylish father-son pairs.
A close bond beyond the spotlight
While their fashion moments often go viral, the relationship between father and son has also been shaped by more personal moments.
In a past segment from the “Steve TV Show,” Steve Harvey recalled preparing for Wynton leaving for college. Wynton joked with his father, saying, “You’re gonna miss me though.”
Steve later joked about turning his son’s room into a cigar lounge, while Wynton suggested his father would become emotional visiting the empty space.
Before college, Steve gave his son a list of rules—originally 25 things to avoid, which eventually expanded to 75. The list included avoiding theft, drunk driving, criminal activity, and early parenthood.
Wynton responded positively, saying, “You’ve been a great example and showed me how to be a great young man.”
The moment turned emotional, with Steve telling him, “And you remember that I love you. I love you, man; more [than] I love myself.”
