Anne Hathaway married Adam Shulman in 2012, their first son, Jonathan, was born in March 2016, when Hathaway was 33 years old. Becoming a mother marked a major milestone in her life, and she has spoken openly over the years about balancing parenthood with her acting career while keeping her family life largely private.
In July 2019, Hathaway announced that she was pregnant and expecting her second child and shared a candid message acknowledging that her path to pregnancy had not been straightforward.
Later that year, she and Shulman welcomed their second son, Jack, when Hathaway was 37 years old. Last month, in June 2026, Hathaway announced via an Instagram post that she is expecting her third child Adam Shulman.

However, it a post went viral on X when a user questioned how many celebrities do not gain weight anywhere expect their stomachs when they are pregnant. X user @saguaro_ghost quoted a picture of Anne Hathaway pregnant at the premiere of the Odyssey writing, “genuine question — how do ALL celebrities avoid gaining arm and décolletage weight during pregnancy??”
Another person agreed and wrote, “The most puzzling thing about celebrity pregnancies is how their faces barely seem to change. Pregnancy-related puffiness is so common, yet they often look completely untouched by it.”
The tweet was immediately flooded with theories, with one gaining popularity the response saying, “Fake baby bump + surrogate carrying actual baby.” Another person wrote, “so the baby is real but the bump is a prop. honestly that’s kind of efficient.”
However others cautioned people making speculation saying, “It’s probably better not to speculate about someone’s pregnancy without evidence.” While others pointed out it could be other factors that helped celebrities bounce back from child birth, “Probably because they have easy access to trainers and doctors”
It seems the topic of Anne Hathaway’s pregnancy has a lot of people debating.
