Influencer Jamal Morton has hit back at online critics targeting him following the death of his two-year-old daughter.
Jamal Morton, 33, a father of six, announced in a post on Facebook that his daughter Rose had drowned in the family’s backyard pool in Hoschton, Georgia last Sunday.
“You were the best daughter a father could ever ask for,” he wrote.
“Losing a child is a pain I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.”
The coroner’s office confirmed Rose’s death but said her exact cause of death has not yet been determined. According to Morton, Rose wandered into the backyard and entered the pool by herself.
Morton hits back at critics
As criticism began circulating online, Morton returned to Facebook with a blunt response to those pointing the finger at him.
“Stupid b**es talking sh** like I wasnt even home when my baby died so stop talking about what i let happen,” he wrote and added:
“Focus on your f*ed up life and let my family grieve in peace.”
His management team followed up with a statement urging the public to stop spreading unverified information, warning that false or defamatory reporting could be addressed through legal channels.
They also clarified that while content has continued appearing on Morton’s accounts, he is not the one posting it, his team is managing his platforms while he steps back to grieve.
Another influencer, another devastating loss
Earlier this year, influencer Emilie Kiser opened up about the death of her three-year-old son Trigg, who died in May 2025 after falling into the family’s backyard pool in Arizona.
Speaking on the On Purpose podcast with Jay Shetty, Kiser described how she has chosen to keep going for the sake of her younger son.
“Losing a child really shows you in the scariest, most real way possible just how quickly life can change,” she said.
“I can either let this completely derail me, or I can do everything in my power to be the best mom I possibly can.”
