This weekend, on Sunday, February 22, the 2026 BAFTAs took place. The award show celebrates the best films of the last year. Some of the red carpet fashion made headlines, and one look that was talked about was that of Sadie Sink.
The actress who is best known for Stranger Things wore a mint green Prada gown. The dress revealed her back and sides, which sparked a lot of conversations online about the actress.
Sink wore the gown with a silver pendant and diamond stud earrings from Bulgari. She wore her hair loose, reminiscent of the styles of Jennifer Aniston, Cindy Crawford, and other icons of the previous decades.
In a now-deleted tweet, a X user talked about the ‘muscles’ revealed at Sadie’s sides by the dress. However, others were quick to point out that these were not muscles, but in fact her ribs. One person wrote, “those are ribs and you clearly know nothing about anatomy.”
However, people were also upset by the tweets, saying point out her body was ‘bodyshaming’ the actress. One person wrote, “they’re trying to paint Sadie Sink as unhealthy. They are not even try hide it anymore, they just wanna normalize obesity”
“Y’all want to impose obesity if y’all say Sadie Sink is underweight. Your ribs showing when your flesh stretches is normal. Being fat doesn’t mean your heart is about to stop BUT STOP WANTING EVERYONE TO BE FAT,” another person wrote.
The actress was posing on the red carpet with her Romeo and Juliet co-star Noah Jupe.
“I really love London. It’s grown on me a lot,” Sink said in a recent interview Glamour UK as she rehearses for the play which is scheduled to run from March 16 to June 6 at the Harold Pinter Theatre. The two of them were presenting an award for Best Production Design at the BAFTAs.
