Sarah Jessica Parker’s son, 23, drops photos as mom calls him ‘handsome’

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick’s son is all grown up – and his latest photoshoot is turning heads online.

As one of Hollywood’s most enduring couples, Parker, 61, and Broderick, 64, have spent decades balancing life in the spotlight while raising a family away from it.

Recently, the Sex and the City star and her husband celebrated 29 years of marriage after tying the knot in 1997.

“May 19th, 1997-May 19th, 2026. 29 years. And counting. Here’s to you my darling. Forever young. Xxx, Your wife Sarah Jessica” Parker captioned the Instagram post that included photos of the couple from years before.

The heartfelt tribute offered a glimpse into the couple’s nearly three decades together and the family they built along the way.

Five years after Parker and the star of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off were wed, they welcomed their first child, James Wilkie, before expanding their family in 2009 with twin daughters Tabitha Hodge and Marion Loretta Elwell.

And, despite their fame, the couple has largely kept their children out of the public eye, preferring to let them forge their own identities away from the glare of celebrity.

Following in parents’ footsteps

That doesn’t mean James Wilkie hasn’t inherited his parents’ love of performing.

One year ago, Broderick spoke to People about sharing the screen with his son for the first time in an episode of Elsbeth.

“I was so proud and happy to work with my son James,” Broderick said in the January 2025 interview. “Working with everyone on Elsbeth was a pleasure and I’m excited for the episode to come out.”

James Wilkie, 22 at the time, was just as enthusiastic about the opportunity.

“What a thrill it was to work side by side with my dad – who also happens to be my favorite actor!” he said. “The whole experience of working on Elsbeth was beyond exciting and I am very grateful to the producers for giving me this opportunity!”

Keeping family life private

Even with both parents firmly established in Hollywood, Parker has long made it clear that family comes first.

During her acceptance speech for the Carol Burnett Award at the 2026 Golden Globes, she paid tribute to Broderick and their children while offering a rare glimpse into her private life.

“To my beloved family, my brilliant husband Matthew Broderick, who has been my husband for just shy of 30 years,” she said. “Who has given me a family discount, an all-access pass to his masterclass in acting, comedy and dedication.”

She then turned her attention to her children.

“And to the family we have made. Our divine James Wilkie, Loretta and Tabitha, oh God. I love you so deeply and admire so much the people that you are becoming. That every day at home and at work, I want to make you proud.”

Ready for his close-up

Now, it seems James Wilkie is becoming increasingly comfortable stepping into the spotlight himself.

On June 1, the Brown University grad shared a series of striking portraits from a photoshoot with musician and photographer Brad Walsh.

According to Walsh, the photos will appear in his upcoming book “FELLA: Images of men,” a collection chronicling more than two decades of photography featuring “many types of men – mostly ordinary people – peppered with actors, singers, models, and other cultural figures.”

“So dope!! Thank you [Brad Walsh],” James Wilkie captioned the carousel of Instagram images that included a black-and-white portrait of the young Broderick in a tank top, followed by several shots showing him posing against a wall while flexing his arms.

Among those impressed by the photos was his mother, who gushed over the images in the comment section.

“Ah handsome. And happy. Xxx, mama,” the star of And Just Like That… wrote in the comments.
