Bruce Springsteen, 74, and the E Street Band returned to the stage Tuesday night after health issues forced the Boss to postpone his 2023 tour.
While the “Born to Run” singer played the 29-song set with just as much energy as an artist half his age, many questioned the New Jersey native’s appearance.
Some even remarked they didn’t realize it was Springsteen.
Dressed in a red plaid flannel shirt and his signature dark jeans, Springsteen took the stage to a chorus of “BRUUUUUUCE!”
Springsteen’s show, which was postponed due to his battle with peptic ulcer disease in fall 2023, took off without a hitch.
That is until photos and videos from the nearly three-hour show made their way onto the internet.
His “new” look left many thunderstruck.
“I’m not even trying to be funny when I say I thought this was Megan Rapinoe,” one person commented on a photo of Springsteen with his shirt unbuttoned and grayer than usual hair.
“That’s Tilda Swinton,” someone else said.
While another suggested it was really Ellen DeGeneres on stage.
Although many couldn’t “unsee” Swinton.
“Absolutely thought this was Tilda Swinton in a new role where she plays a wrestler.”
Okay, we do have to agree there is some resemblance, but come on you can still tell that’s Bruce Springsteen!
What do you think? Are people being too harsh on the Boss?
