The children were killed instantly. The Kirchgessners filed a lawsuit against the driver hoping it would help them heal. They also started the Addie and Baylor Kirchgessner Foundation to maintain the legacy of their children.

The non-profit works towards providing children with books. Now the couple has welcomed a new ray of light into their lives; Poppie Carolyn Kirchgessner. The couple welcomed their little bundle of joy into their lives together. Little Poppie weighed a solid 8 pounds and 10 ounces.

Their newborn baby girl is named after Lauren’s late grandfather. Her grandfather passed away at Thanksgiving. And her middle comes from his wife Carolyn’s name. Their daughter Addie also had the same middle name.

The Kirchgessners have made the foundation they started in the memory of their two beautiful children really thrive. They have so far raised thousands of dollars and donated thousands of books which is no small feat!

It is so nice to see that they have welcomed another baby into their lives. We are sending the Kirchgessner family our best!
