Candace Cameron Bure and David Coulier made appearances at the ’90s Con this past weekend. The duo were getting candid about how the cast got along with one another.
While they seem like a close bunch on-screen, it might be that the cast is even closer to one another off camera. The actors from the hit 90s sitcom Full House seem to have made a wonderful family with one another.

“We text each other a lot and stay connected, but I think it was Bob’s (Saget) memorial,” Coulier said of the last time the whole group was together in one place. “For all of us together.”
“But Dave doesn’t live in California anymore. So, we all see each other more often than we get to see Dave. But we were all together at Jodie’s wedding. And Andrea (Barber) and I, we just kinda hang out all the time. I was with John (Stamos) and Lori (Loughlin) , just last month. We had a dinner with Kelly (Rizzo),” Bure added with examples of just how much the cast kept in touch.
Coulier said the cast had gotten along with one another from day one. He said, “I think you either just have that chemistry or you don’t, and we had that from day one.” He added, “we just all bonded.”
Even before the show, it seems like the cast knew one another. Coulier explained, “I knew Bob from the stand-up days, so we were already friends. I met Bob when I was 18 years old at a club in Detroit. John and I became instant buddies. And the kids…”
Bure added how helpful and warm the adults on set were to the younger actors. She said, “And you guys were amazing grown adults that were very welcoming to embrace us as kids and hang out. Dave took me to the circus when I was 12. He took me to my first hockey game. And this is all off the set. So, they were just like real uncles, real dads, real friends. And that just built over time.”
Of course, every family has fights every now and then. Bure said, “When we say we’re family, we mean it. I mean, we’re family to the core.” Adding, “We’re each other’s ride or dies. Nothing gets in between all of us.”
Coulier added, “And we bicker, and we say stuff to each other, just like family.”
“The love’s always there,” Bure maintained.
These comments come after Jodie Sweetin who played Bure’s sister on the show and it’s spin-off Fuller House seemed to disagree with Bure’s comments about ‘traditional marriage.’
After Bure announced her departure from the Hallmark Channel, she joined the Great American Family network. The new network has no plans of featuring same sex couples in their projects. 46-year-old Bure said the channel “will keep traditional marriage at the core.” This comment created backlash against the actress.
A lot of celebrities spoke out against what Bure said. A source who knows both Bure and Sweetin said the latter “is progressive in her beliefs and Candace is very religious in hers.”
“They have different views and opinions on various important topics,” the source added.
JoJo Siwa was another celebrity who spoke against Bure saying in an instagram post, “Honestly, I can’t believe after everything that went down just a few months ago, that she would not only create a movie with intention of excluding LGBTQIA+, but then also talk about it in the press. This is rude and hurtful to a whole community of people.”
Sweetin comment on Siwa’s post writing, “You know I love you ❤️❤️.”
The source said of this entire chapter, “Candace’s quote about traditional marriage impacted a lot of people. Jodie does not agree with Candace’s remarks and wanted to show where she stands. Candace is upset that Jodie chose to do this in a public way instead of talking to her one-on-one.”
However, the two women seemed on good terms with one another at the ’90s Con weekend, speaking on panels together and even posing for pictures together.
It is nice to see the Full House cast treat one another like family. Please share this piece with your friends and family who are fans of the show so they can know more about the cast’s real life feelings towards one another too!
